The Allman Brothers Band - In Memory of Elizabeth Reed ( At Fillmore Eas...

THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO RESPOND. THIS OLD TIMER REALLY GETS A KICK WHEN RECEIVING A COMPLIMENT. LET ME JUST SAY, " BOTHE "CALIFORNIA" WITH JOHN ALMOND, JOHN MAYALL, JOHN MARC & MICKY THOMPSON(KOOL BASSIST), & DUANE ALLMAN & DICKY BETTS" ELIZABETH REED' , INSPIRED ME TO WRITE MY VERY 1ST TUNE(PERHAPS MY BEST),(WITH THE SINGULAR FORCE OF BEING KICKED TO THE CURB BY MY "LADY DIANE". A FEW DAYS LATER, SITTING IN MY PARENTS STAIRWELL, WATCHING THE SUN RISING(OR WAS IT SETING?), MY DARKNESS LIFTED, A HOLE APPEARED IN BLACK CLOUDS OVERHEAD, & MAGIC TOOK OVER, POSSESSING MY BRAIN & RIGHT HAND, PENNING " TRYIN' TOO HARD". SITTING AT THE PIANO, THE INTRO TOOK OVER, VERY SLOW, GIVING WAY TO AN UP BEAT, YET PIERCING SONG. WITH GREAT HELP FORM MY SISTER-IN-LAW A CONCERT PIANIST, MUSIC & CHORAL TEACHER, BY MY SIDE,THE WORDS & MUSIC, WORD FOR NOTE, WERE WRITTEN, ON A "SAM ASH : MUSIC STAFF NOTEBOOK. A FEW WEEKS LATER , MY PROFESSIONAL SINGING COUSIN RECORDED THIS WITH ME ON PIANO( NOT A PIANIST AT AL, ON A $100 SONY DECK.THOUGH 3 MAJOR RECORD COMPANIES REJECTED MY CASSETTE, I HAVE NEVER GIVEN UP HOPE, & CONTINUE WRITING(SEVERAL 100 OR MORE ) . ALSO GAVE UP THE SEARCH FOR THAT CERTAIN SPECIAL FEMALE VOICE.(STILL HAVE THE CASSETTE & NOTEBOOK ALL THESE YEARS & MOVES).
