Read extensive histories on our civil war. One story goes like this: A Union officer is walking by some Confederate prisoners in Tennessee. He sees this this barefoot young kid maybe 15 or 16 yrs old. He says to the kid, "You obviously are not a slave owner let alone a son of a plantation owner. Why in the world are you fighting???" The young man looks up and replies , "Cause y'all are down here."}}}
